Despite the broken tower clock: time has not stood still! A wide range of events and concerts await us at Kulturkirche this spring.

It all starts with the Basel Infinity Festival, which will be organising two concerts here: A song recital by Hanno Müller-Brachmann (bass-baritone) and Jan Schultsz with works by Johannes Brahms and Hugo Wolf. In between, the experimental world music band Almwaya will be making a guest appearance in Basel as part of their current Swiss tour.

The first choral concert of the spring follows in April: the regioChor Binningen/Basel will sing the famous Petite Messe solennelle by Gioachino Rossini, accompanied by a grand piano, harmonium and solo quartet. This will be followed shortly afterwards by another highlight of the Romantic choral repertoire: Johannes Brahms' German Requiem will resound through the church when the chamber choir and orchestra of the FHNW Academy of Music will be guests under the direction of Prof. Raphael Immoos.

Last but not least, there is also news from our association: On 21 April, we will be holding our general meeting in the church, with music provided by the a cappella quartet cantuccini - and if everything goes well, our new high-quality concert chairs can be officially inaugurated. On 30 April, we will also be taking part in the neighbourhood flea market and making 10 stalls available in the church. Interested people can apply directly at the association. Tower tours are also offered every two hours (no pre-booking necessary) – first come, first served.

The compact monthly programme is available here: Monthly programme of March/April 2022.

In the meantime, we have also moved into a new office: Our CoWorking in the former community centre on Schweizergasse has been in operation since this month! We are still looking for interested co-users, all further information can be found below:
