Spring 2024 is coming!

Already an eye-catcher in 1960: Our magnolia trees in full bloom (black and white photograph coloured with AI).

It's no longer really news, but spring is just around the corner! And with it, the popular Café-Mobil will soon be back in front of our doors. From 16 March, UM will start its third season with a magnolia festival, when the magnolias will be in full bloom. The very next day, another treat from the international choir scene awaits us: the world-famous Didgori Folk Choir from Georgia will fill St Paul's Church with breathtaking sounds - as part of the Interfinity Festival, which will also be visiting us on 2 and 5 March with two attractive programmes.

Our youngest guests won't miss out either: the choir of St Leonhard High School will be performing twice on 7/8 March with a youthful springtime selan and on 27 March, the Basel Theatre Office will be hosting a children's concert in the afternoon, followed by a guest performance by star trumpeter Kurt Witt. The colourful concert programme is rounded off at the end of March with the revival of ‘Passion 2000’ by Bernhard Batschelet and a Passion concert by ‘tesori della musica’ with the Freitagsakademie Bern.

Of course, there are also opportunities for physical activities: The people from ‘Ecstatic Roots Dance’ will be our guests again in March and the ‘LifeSupport’ organisation is offering free resuscitation training for anyone interested to mark its 20th anniversary. You can find the full monthly programme below. We look forward to seeing you again in the church or for a chat on the forecourt at the coffee truck!
